Indev Version 0.1.0 is out!

After forever, I decided to post it to this itch page, and make it public, as I did create this project to share with the world. Anyways, Let me explain what this game is, and why you might want to play it, why it was made, and finally, how to launch the game!

What is >_Terminal?

>_Terminal, or Terminal for short, is a small python game, which has you working as a recruit for a new cybersecurity company. They take the machines that are deemed bad, and then they get their people to check the machines. You are tasked to explore this Linux machine and figure out if anything bad is on it, and take the data that is bad, and send it to research.

Who is Terminal meant for?

Terminal is meant for the power user who wants something up their alley to play. Of course, It's not all power user, and if you run "help" you can see all the command available to you.

Why was Terminal Made?

So, I (Delta) am a computer nerd, who wanted an app, in which you could have your own fun in this locked down version of a "customized Linux Distro". And then after that I decided "lets make a game out of it" and worked on the story a bit. And now I bring you this prototype of >_Terminal, which is just showing off the shell and a bit of the things you might have to do in this game (subject to change). 

Ok, now finally, lets show you how to run the game!

Run Instructions on Windows:

You only need to run the executable called "Terminal" or "Terminal.exe".  For my other people who see the hidden "_internal" folder, please don't mess with that. That's how all the libraries for the python game are called.

Run Instructions on Linux/Unix machines:

Same thing as before, except you'll need to run this file in a terminal. It's not that hard, its just a few commands, which I will explain.

Commands are:

chmod +x terminal 

./terminal

The command chmod +x makes the file executable, and then ./ calls the app to be run. Then the file should be working! (if it's not, please let me know, my linux knowledge can be rusty sometimes 😅)
